In 1942, New York City's venerable Schaefer Brewery celebrated its 100th Anniversary and issued this wonderful hard cover, oversized book to record its history. Heavily illustrated throughout with images of the company's colorful past, this book is extremely scarce. The story begins with Frederick and Maximilian Schaefer's arrival in New York in 1838 and 1840, respectively, and follows the company through to its post-Prohibition success. Inset within the bright red hard cover is a pair of gold medallions. This is a really terrific piece of New York City brewing history.
