Most books about the Prohibition movement are slightly outside BeerBooks.com's scope. But, this book is unique. It is a collection of speeches and writings of anti-Prohibition activist Percy Andreae, published in 1915. Andreae was one of the brewing industry's most visible and outspoken supporters in the years before Prohibition. He toured the country, decrying the evils of Prohibition and spreading the brewers' gospel. Among the titles included in this book are "The Brewer and the Retail Liquor Traffic," "Truth from a Brewer's Standpoint," and "Why a Brewer is Proud of His Business." This preservation of Andreae's work helps us better understand the fight to save the brewing industry from destruction.
