Item #1464

The Beer Guppy's Guide to Southern California is the region's first-ever comprehensive craft-beer destination guide. Inside, the whereabouts---and the tasty what-abouts---of over 300 microbreweries, brewpubs, alehouses, restaurants, retailers, homebrew organizations and beer events are identified spanning Central and Southern California, and Southern Nevada.

This 100-page guidebook can easily be used by every type of beer traveler-from the casual connoisseur to the serious beer enthusiast. Ergonomically designed, even the general reader will quickly discover its value. Straightforward and (mostly) unbiased listings give you all of the facts, including: brands, brewers, brewhouses, owners, hours, house beers, guest beers, growler fills, food fares, tasting rooms, taps, tours, music, mug clubs, sales of real ales and more. Icons placed within each listing allow for quick reference for those on-the-go.

Sprinkled throughout the guide are highlights about Southern California's beer pioneers, breweriana traders, historic beer sites, airport watering holes, and wacky beer oddities. Four travel zones are separated by color-coded chapters. Additionally, the book doubles as a real ale field guide for those in search of British-style cask-conditioned beer.
