» Look Inside The Book

Talk about scarce! Here is a 1903 FIRST EDITION copy of One Hundred Years of Brewing. Although the 1973 reprints can be found fairly easily, original first edition copies like this one are extremely rare.

With over 800 pictures, this 718-page monster-sized book is a detailed look at beer-making around the world throughout the 19th century, with its main focus being on the United States. It includes detailed historical writeups on virtually every American brewery in operation in 1903. Also included are thorough discussions of every aspect of brewing history -- social, technological, architectural, statistical, etc. It is one of the few "cornerstone" books published on the history of American beer, breweries and brewing.
