| Description: | An advertising poster from 1879 for the E. Anheuser Co.'s Brewing Association, (later, Anheuser-Busch) of St. Louis, Missouri. The print features a bottle of St. Louis Lager Beer overlooking two views of the brewery in St. Louis -- a birds-eye view of the exterior of the plant, and an interior view of racking department where bottles and barrels were filled with beer. Above the factory scenes is a group of gnomes drinking beer. The print is decorated with hop vines and barley stalks, signifying two of the main ingredients in beer. |
