Item #1789

This comprehensive two-volume brewing text was originally published in 1957. It is an English translation of the original 1948 work published in French by Jean De Clerck, professor of the brewing school at the University of Louvain. So comprehensive is the text that later reprints of the volumes are still heavily used by brewers today. One of its many advantages to brewers is its double purpose as both a theortical text for students and a practical manual for active brewmasters. And while the books were created for professional brewers (and students seeking careers in brewing), the text is written in an easy-to-read style that makes it applicable to almost any level of brewing.

This is the 1994 reprint edition by Siebel Institute of Chicgao. William R. Siebel of the Siebel Institute and World Brewing Academy wrote of the volumes in 1994, "Though refinements in the practice of brewing have been frequent, the solid foundations of the arts and sciences of brewing have changed little over the intervening forty years...This classic text still offers the most comprehensive and relevant treatise available to the brewer."

CONDITION: Excellent. Both books are almost like new in all respects.
