A very early essay on malting in all its aspects. Full title: Practical and Philosophical Principles of Making Malt, in Which the Efficacy of the Sprinkling System is Contrasted with the Hertfordshire Method; Also an Address to Honourable Commissioners of Excise: Together with a Recapitulation of the Principles which are Elucidated both in the Treatise and the Address.

CONDITION: Good. Possible early rebind. "Reynoldson on Malt" is handwritten in ink on spine. Cover shows wear, with corner bumping. Binding strong. Former owner named written on first black page, dated 1853. Pages show light age-toning, but are otherwise clean. A good copy.
