The growth of "Green" issues has spread to all ways of life. Every supermarket has its own organic section and many sell organic drinks, too. The Organic Beer Guide is the first book about brewing from exclusively organic materials. The Organic Beer Guide is divided into national seactions, each one covering a major brewing centre for organic produce, as well as special features on "heroes of organi beer and cider", organic cider and perry, and organic pubs. A brief history of each country's brewing background, both conventional and organic, precedes a feature on the major brewers of the country, together with the full name, address and contact details. Supplementing each large producer is a guide to the drinks they produce, their alcoholic strength, a list of ingredients, tasting notes and availability in bottle and on draught. Organic beer and cider help the environment by being made from grains, hops and fruit that have not been sprayed with harmful chemicals. Organic hops in particular avoid the vast array of sprays that not only harm the environment but kill the very predators, such as ladybirds, that are the farmers' best friends.
