Full title: The Philosophical Principles of the Science of Brewing; containing theoreticall hints on an improved practice of brewing malt-liquors; and statical (sic) estimates of the materials for brewing, or a treatise on the application and use of the saccharometer; being new editions, corrected of those treatises with the addition of the use of the saccharometer simplified, etc. etc.

Includes "A list of trhe London brewers, with the several sums of the strong, small, and table beer brewed by them respectively in the year ending at midsummer, 1786."

Signed by author on last page of book, though page is badly torn. See pics.

CONDITION: Extremities rounded and worn. Apparent discolorations on frot and back boards. From comparison to another copy, the tag word "index" should appear in torn off area of last page. The next page is blank and then index, 8pp. should follow but are lacking in this copy. Book has been rebound in half calf, apparently at some early date.
