A manual published by the Siebel Institute in Chicago for brewers who bottle and/or can their beer. From the preface: "The repeal of Prohibition in 1932 initiated for the brewing industry an era marked by the complete reversal of the relative importance of packaged beer as against draft beer. The rapidly growing popularity of beer packaged in bottles and cans has elevated the brewer's bottling department to a position of primary importance in an incredibly short span of time...The purpose of this manual is to summarize in one convenient volume the factual technical information relating to all aspects of beer packaging and to do this in such a manner as to be of greatest practical usefulness to the individuals responsible for the operation of the brewery's bottling department." Profusely illustrated, including a number of full-color foldout diagrams.

CONDITION: Very Good. Cover shows only light signs of use with mild corner bumps. Gilt lettering a bit dull. This copy is personalized for "Robert C. Hatting" as shown by his name in gilt on cover. Inside clean. Binding strong.
